This week, we investigate an abandoned 300-year-old mansion with a history of intense paranormal activity.
Lickhill Manor was built about 325 years ago as a home for the Folliott Family, although the estate itself has records dating back to the early 1400s. After changing hands over the next 200 years, it was abandoned in the 1930s before being repurposed as a maternity hospital during World War 2. The building then went through more changes: it became a hotel, a family home, and eventually a nursing home, which was shut down in 2012 and has been abandoned ever since. But even though the living have abandoned it, many report the building to be incredibly haunted. Some even go as far back as its first abandonment, when people camping on the grounds heard footsteps, doors closing, and voices coming from inside. And now ghost hunters, urban explorers, and locals all claim to have heard and seen ghosts inside the building. So we went to see for ourselves.
