The Ark of the Covenant was sheathed in gold. By any reasonable calculation it would have been extraordinarily heavy, carried on staves because according to the accounts no one could touch it directly without being struck down. Of the twelve tribes of Israel, only one was permitted to transport it.
That tribe was the Levites. Levites. Levity. Levitation. The linguistic connection sitting in plain sight for thousands of years raises a question worth taking seriously: was levitation not mythology to ancient cultures, but working science? And is the answer to how the Ark was moved encoded in the name of the only people trusted to move it?
